though I'm already registered
the administrator pesters
bossy like a director
requiring extra effort
before I can even vote
which provokes me to choke
the registrars throat,
not really it's just a joke
that's quite contemptable
similar to my ballot
issued only provisional
and I'm irritable
cuz the government failed
to mail by snail
under penalty of jail
they failed to mail
a ballot for absentees
like I planned to be
but now they'll leave
my vote for next week
and as lame as it seems
I'm still pleased
cuz my chosen nominee
is in the lead
